What's This?

Anyone any idea what the yellow / purple wavey mark is on the top right of the screen?  I first noticed it about 4 or 5 months ago & it has been growing longer as the weeks go by.. It's either internal or within the glass.  Thanks in advance.  Paul

I can't see the picture just yet but by the description it could be water damaged or perhaps the phone was dropped or pressure was applied on that area.

I am sorry to hear about that.

It's not possible to determine what exactly it is without having it examined at an authorized service center. I can't tell you what caused it, but possible reasons are due to heat or from pressure/the display being pinched.

My advice is that you have it sent to an authorized service center to have it looked at. You can contact your Local support for assistance in doing so.

Thanks to you both for taking the time to reply.  I was really wondering if anyone had noticed this before but I guess not

I suspect it's some internal heat discolouring the glass but as it's not causing a problem & as the phone is now worth less than £60 it's not worth looking to pay for a repair

Thanks for the reply but there is no crack

If you mean the whiteish mark between "SONY" & the sensor, that was just some dirt

If you mean the gap alongside the flaw, then this is the gap between screen & trim, which has alsways been there.

I'm not overly concerned as it works fine just wondered if anyone had come across before
