what is rooting?

i have already installed the ROM toolbox... can't open my ROM, rooting is needed...what does it means? need some help!! thanx...

are you using a Custom ROM or which android version and build number are you using?

what do you want to do that requires rooting?

The subject you put on this threads suggest you're no experienced user when it comes to rooting and messing around with the software. Be careful if you want to play around with this.

Any tempering with the software will void your warranty.

I agree with Markus, if you unlock your bootloader you can destroyed your phone quite easly

you can install other apps that require root access like Titanium Backup, you can delete pre-loaded apps with this. but you have to be careful, you might kill your phone if you don't know what your doing, so if you don't want to customize your phone that much, don't root, if you do want to, start a new thread and be as specific as possible on what you want.
