I hope someone can help with my problem.
2 weeks ago my screen cracked. This was repaired by the local repairshop.
But the next the phone was in contact with water it turned itself off. When I push on the screen bubbled came out of the edges.
Now no response. Only when I connect the charger, then it vibrates every couple of seconds and that's it.
The repairshop told me water entered via the sim slot, but I am sure it was closed.
The shop tried to dry it or something, but with no luck.
Is there a possibility that there is a simple part of the phone that is damaged and can be replaced with no high costs?
When you got your phone back the 1st time did it say they had performed a pressure test to make sure the repair was water tight - If not then you have grounds to say that the phone was not waterproof and water got in via the screen repair
Absolutly unbelievable (in my opinion)
Today I picked up the phone. They told me it was unrepairable.
At home I noticed one side of the screen was coming up and down a bit. Also I could charge the phone and I could turn it on.
I can make pictures. The screen stays black though.
How can it be possible that the phone is unrepairable when I can do those things?
So I called the shop for some explaining.
They won't tell me if they did a pressure test. They only tell me they did everything possible to make the phone work.
Just said that water came in via sim slot and made pictures of it.
After some argueing i asked to mail me the pictures, but because I was annoying and time consuming they won't mail me the pictures. So I told them that I had to drive half an hour to see the pictures, but then said that I can come over but will not show me the pictures.
Can it be possible that the phone is repairable?
The shop told me that the motherboard was damaged. That it sends signals to charge the phone, turn it on, make pictures ect. But would't send signals to the screen. Those micro components were damaged, they say.
