Dear all
I am a customer of your phone for 15 years
Recently I bought a sony Z2 and of course I put in the water to take a picture. Looking course lids are closed, after the third photo the phone closed and not reopened. Then put it back into the water and ran a lot of water from the headphone hole. I feel very disappointed by the service give to me that is my fault and it's my own mistake, I'm 45 years old and very responsible and is unlikely to put the phone with the lids open. Now you ask me 400 euros to repair it (so I bought it). This stance in your company not to give another phone or some compensation I consider offensive and unreliable. The issue is serious and I do not know until I get to be vindicated ( the defamation will be great and will be the less of ) first because it is six months telephone and second because it cost dearly.
Sorry but the DEALER of sony in GREECE is very cocky and rude
I expect a better answer.
Sincerely
Kazakis George
Hi
Did water come out from headphone's jack ?
It's possible that the jack is faulty and lacks appropriate insulation.
Instead of going to that dealer, you should go to a sony service center and ask them to perform a "vacuum test" on your phone because that would help to identify if there's a defect in the build quality.
I really hate whenever a customer is denied of proper services.
the delegation of SONY did the vacuum test and do not admits that the phone is defective for not to pay because have yet guarantee
do not give me nor the phone back because I told them that I will do the vacuum test on another machine
because it is the delegation of sony turns out that finding want
I'm very sorry to hear about your phone
I checked the conversation you had with your local Sony Xperia support and as you say, the authorized service location have done a vacuum test on your phone which the phone passed when all flaps are closed. I'm afraid this means that the damage is not covered by warranty as we can't see any other reason for this damage other than that a flap has not been properly closed or that the phone has been exposed environments outside what the IP-classification allows.
When looking at the pictures the service location has taken of the inside of your phone it also looks very corroded. Are you sure you tested it in fresh water?
