Warranty question

Good day!

Could you please answer me, I have sony xperia V with open bootloader, it was opened allready abt. 7 month, on last week i'v meet some problem with my touch screen, bottom part of the screen do not respond on any touches, i'v send a phone by warranty to my operator, some days later they call me and told that: "you have been opened the bootloader and the OFFICIAL warranty from SONY is void, if you want to repair, we can do it for you money". Once again, not operator warranty void, the OFFICIAL SONY warranty. And thats it, no answer abt. touchscreen, is it broken by me or factory deffect. In the same tme Sony officialy allow to open the bootloader from official site : http://developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/unlock-yourboot-loader/ . So do they right and my sony warranty is lost?

That's not quite accurate @KosTeek it only states that flashing custom ROMs and all that could damage your phone, you have to file a claim to challenge that

It says that by unlocking your bootloader your warranty may be void - You could argue that the screen touch ability failing has no bearing on unlocking the bootloader or that it is unlocked but this maybe something you would need to seek legal advice on however you could try contact Xperia care for more info http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/

allready contact with the sony support,  "you might have to pay for this repair if the software is modified on your device. This decision is made by the service center, if you want to challenge it you have to claim your device". So from this word and all conversation i undersud, sony is preaty much dont care abt. costumers, if you have problem, solve it with you operator!

I think i will do so. I can agree if phone do not boot, so it could be problem with the main core of processor, overvoltage and so on, but it technicaly could not damage touchscreen

First Update

Half of Victory!

Yesturday they send back my device with changed (new) touchscreen and with my old touch, without any questions, but....

Right there in the office of my operator, i was triyng to swich on my phone, it switched on , but do not shows anything, i feel that touch is responding and i hear some sounds, like screen lock and so on. From this i make my findings that phone , and touch is working but without picture. Futher, i notice that they put me wrong screen, if you know sony V has 3 types of touch (Sony, Sharp и Toshiba), in my phone was Sony, and they changed to Sharp.

So i send back phone to cervice.

Second Update.

Sony, sorry, take my words back.

This answer i received from Sony Care:

"You still have two years of warranty from the original date of purchase as long as the error does not require locking the bootloader or if the error is caused by unlockning the bootloader. So you have not lost the warranty, the service center has decided that the current problem with your device is outside of the warranty. If you disagree with their decision we recommend you to contact your retailer and create a claim on your device."

My adventures continues..
