Same problem by me...
I have tried to replicate this on an Xperia T with no luck. With this being the case I would advise running a repair:
1. Before you start you have to download the PC Companion software from http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/
and install it on your PC.
2. Once installed on your PC, double-click the PC Companion icon on your desktop to start the update.
Note! For some models you will be prompted to do a backup prior to the update and then restore.
3. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
4. Phone Software Update.
5. Start.
6. Repair Phone
7. Continue
8. Accept data removal
9. Next
10. Wait for prepare
11. Select Phone
12. Follow the connection steps

Thanks for the answer. I tried it. I repaired my phone with pc companion, recovered my data and the problem with the music changing is still there... it takes to long...
With play music which comes from google with the jelly bean update it works normal on my device... but i want to use the walkman app because it looks much better... but it doesn't work as it should...
I have the same issue. When listening on headphones walkman app won't go to next
song. It happens when the screen is off for few minutes and on headphones. With the speaker it works ok. When the screen is on it also works. Please pass it on to developers team for quick fix
Exactly the same issue here. headphones, screen locked : walkman won't go to next song (randomly....sometimes it works but most of the time it doesn't).
No problem when screen is on.
regards
Olivier
I've exactly the same problem, updated last night, and this morning, using my earphones and my phone in screenlock, the Walkman app won't go to the next track, or if it does, it takes about a minute of pure silence before next track comes on. Ideas please, Sony????
Hi Sony, are you going to tell us what is wrong with our upgrade please? Incidentally, and being more specific regarding this fault, and it happens the same with other music players, not just Walkman, it only happens when the screen is blank, in the intial lockscreen it seems to be working OK. Once I press the button on the side of my Xperia to wake up my phone to the lockscreen, the next track jumps to life. And I also notice, when the screen is asleep, that when the track nears the end, it cuts off early. Please explain what setting is wrong, or else issue a software patch to fix this fault. I'm far from happy over this latest update, my phone worked fine before!!!
II also noticed this bug. I give you to know in case, that you may know that the problem exists, and many (if not all) the owner of T Xperia experienced this problem.
