Walkman, off with camera and mysteriously on in car

1. If I am listening to music (with the supplied headphones) and I want to take a photo the music stops when I turn on the camera, why? can i change any settings to keep the music on or need to use a different player?

2. Also when I am driving, connected to the car via Bluetooth the Walkman starts playing all on its own, I think its after I make/receive a call. I don't notice it as I am usually listening to the radio not the Bluetooth device(Z), the only indication is the Walkman indicator and when I finish my journey and Bluetooth disconnects from car the music start playing from the phone.

well when you use the stock camera the music will stop, its not only with sony phones its with every manufacture like htc, samsung,lg,etc.

what you can do is install an app called camera zoomfx or camera 360 from play store and with those apps you can click photos while listening to music

I tried to understand your 2nd question but sorry i cant get it fully, are you saying when you finish your call , music starts palying automatically without you touching the phone . If yes, were you playing music via the phone befor the call?

Thanks for the answerers Arjun

I will try one of the other app's you mention but still not sure why?

In the car I am not playing music just using Google maps to navigate and taking or receiving calls via the car Bluetooth, when sometimes the Walkman starts playing all on its own, I don't hear it as I am listening to the radio rather than from the Bluetooth input source so only notice the icon on the screen or hear the music when the ignition is off and it outputs via the phone speaker.

not a major issue but dont know why it doeas it.

there are many resons on the internet why it doesnt work with stock camera app in the android phones , some say it causes interference, some say it reduces battery life but the cause is still not known lol. But install any of the apps i suggested and you will be able to play music while using them

For the walkman palying on its own thing, that's kinda strange. have you tried reapiring the phone via update service?

Regarding Walkman starting by itself, are you sure you're not pressing any play-button or similar in your car? Walkman will start if the car sends a play-command over bluetooth.

No I am not pressing play, when I finish a phone call via the car Bluetooth connection and steering wheel controls, the Walkman on most occasions starts playing, no big deal as I am not listening to the Bluetooth Audio source in the car so I don't notice.

What happens if you press the button you end calls with when you don't have any active call? Does that start Walkman?

Hello Rickard, In the VW I control the phone with steering wheel buttons which are navigation buttons and OK/select button, the OK button ends the call, but it only gives that option while in a call, when not in a call it just opens up a sub menu displayed on the dash.

will try to analyse exactly when it happens but difficult when driving..
