W890i internet settings problem

Hi,

My son has messed around with my phone and i am now unable to connect to the internet. Every time i attempt a connection i am prompted to choose a data account to use to connect. Regardless of which data account i pick (T-Mobile Internet, Picture message or SEMC GPRS) I recieve the message - Data account doesn't exist. Check your settings.

I have attempted to download the settings using the Setup wizard with no success - could not download settings. try again from the settings menu.

Please advise how i can correct this as i mainly use my mobile for browsing.

You will need the configuration settings (APN, Username, Password, Authentication) specific for your service provider and here are the instructions to enter the settings into the phone manually:

 

1. On the Main menu go to [SETTINGS], press "Select"

2. Select [CONNECTIVITY],

3. Scroll to [INTERNET SETTINGS], press "Select"
4. Delete all accounts listed.  Press "Options" and scroll to [CREATE NEW] or press "Add" if there are no any data accounts

5. Scroll to [PS DATA], press "Select"
6. Select [NAME], press "Edit"

7. Enter new account name, press "OK"

8. Scroll to [APN], press "Edit"

9. Enter the information and press "Ok"

10. Press "Save" to store the settings

11. Scroll to the new account, press "Options"

12. Scroll to [EDIT], press "Select"

13. Scroll to [USERNAME], press "Edit"

14. Enter user ID/Username and press "Save"

15. Scroll to [PASSWORD], press "Edit"

16. Enter password and press "Save"
17. Scroll to [AUTHENTICATION], press "Edit"

18. Mark [PAP] and Unmark from other, press "Save"

19. Press "Back" to store the settings and exit from created data account

20. Scroll to created data account, press "Select"

21. Press "Back" to go to Standby
