hi,please i need help with my w580i carrier at&t,the phone happens to be a great phone for me but recently am havin an issue with the phone,it can no longer install apps each time  i tried it reads operation failed,have neva encountered such problem b4 but am told its a software problem that needs update,to make matter worse my pc is currently not yet available. so am wondering can this problem be solved without a pc? have tried resettin with no improvement,please help

If your phone has an Over The Air (OTA) update service, then go to:Main menu--Settings--General--Update service--Search for update: if there is a new software version, this can be downloaded directly to your phone, as long as it has a working internet connection.Otherwise, if your phone doesn't have this OTA service, you will need to update (or re-install the software) on a PC using the update service.

Yes unfortunately not all devices allow OTA updates based on the network providers. However re installtion with a PC would like resolve the issue. I will supply a link to PC Companion. I can only suggest that you maybe use a friends or families PC if you do not currently have access to a PC.
