Volume Down not working - Stuck in Safe Mode

Hi guys,

Two days ago, my Sony Xperia Z1Compact had restarted into safe mode. I then restarted my phone several times to get it out and was unsuccessful. After many forum readings, I realized that this has happened to others due to their volume down button being stuck. My volume down button was still clicking and physically fine but the device wasnt recognizing the click of the button.

So my volume down button is stuck and so my phone is stuck in safe mode. I tried updating my phone to see if it would help with no luck. I also finally backed up my stuff and performed a "Backup&Restore". Also didnt help. 

Wanted to know why this has happened to my phone, and is there an easy way to solve this issue.

I think you should visit a sony service and let them handle the phone.

Think you're right. Going to do that tomorrow. 

Do you know if my 1 year Sony warranty (bought my phone only 2 months ago) cover repairs under any "ACCREDITED SERVICE CENTER"; or only fully operated Sony stores? 

I currently live in Dubai and the ones here are the former.
