Volume button not working with Walkman

Volume button on side of the phone doesnt work with Walkman app.

When I'm playing something in walkman volume button should increase or reduce the volume. But it doesnt work.

Instead it increases my ringtone volume.

Sounds strange! First of all I recommend that you restart your phone by press and hold the power button and then volume up button at the same time until the phone vibrates (for the Xperia Z). If you have the Xperia ZL you have a reset button instead if you remove the back cover. Put a pen (or similar) there for about 5-6 seconds and the phone should restart.

If the problem still persists I recommend that you go into settings > apps > the "all" tab > Walkman > clear data. Then restart the phone as described above and try again.
