Hm, my first guess would be that you're running out of memory on the phone - the video simply becomes to big for the phone to store after 7 minutes. Does the same thing happen if you lower the resolution to 720p? I'm testing with a Xperia P right now and ~9,5 minutes 1080p video wasn't a problem (video size at about 1gb).
