Vibrate/Silent Mode Z2

Probably the silliest and easiest to find but for some reason I cannot find how to put my phone to silent mode and or turn off the vibrate setting. Every notification that comes through vibrates even though I don't have the vibrate setting on.

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

There are several ways to do this. One way is to hold the on/off button and there you can select the speaker with an x to have the phone silent with no vibration or you can select the phone with two lines on each side to have silent but with vibrate.

You might have in messages settings the option for notification vibration.

This is helpful but as soon as I turn the volume up it reverts to vibrate even on silent so I have to set it again. Do I really have to set silent/no vibrate everything or is there a way of turning vibrate off permanently? I do not want to use vibrate which operates even in the night mode Help welcomed

You can disable vibrations for notifications or for calls.

PLEASE HELP! Ive just had the android lillipop 5.0 installed on on xperia Z2 and I can't find how to set my phone to vibrate! I can have it on silent or sound or priority but I can't find the vibrate only setting. Can anyone help me please?

Just press the volume up or down button and click the ringer icon. You can do this in sound and priority mode.
