My phone will no longer charge unless the phone is turned off. Even then it can be tempermental. It was off and charging all last night and only managed to reach 91%. My computer will also not reconise it and the Sony PC companion can't detect the phone or it says that there isn't a phone or tablet connected. I've tried the various suggestions I could find like removing the sim card and letting it charge which worked temporarily allowing the phone to charge while on but then went back to failing to charge. I have also tried hard resets, using different usb cables, different ports on my computer.
While on and plugged in the charging symbol appears on the battery icon but the power continues to go down and the charging light occaionally blinks. The power percentage is also off it seems as there was 7% left last night until it forced itself to shut down immediately going to 0
Hi Karty55
Really sorry to hear this!!!
well we appreciate the trouble shooting you have did :), since you have tried most of the case, where you left with only few options
>since you have tried with different computer and USB cables, you can try changing the battery(incase any one of your friends got same battery) then try using it and check whether it charges or not
>if not charging, last option you can do is restoring the phone(make sure you keep back up where you will be losing all data later)
hope this might fix the problem, even after the issue persist, then you can take your phone to nearest Sony store to get it fixed

I agree with manjuboyz, since you have tried with different cables and chargers without any success you may have to visit a service center to get your phone examined and repaired. Please contact your local Xperia support team for more information:
