Guys please help me !! Whenever i try to update , they show me the steps to update my phone. They will ask me to disconnect my xperia arc and reconnect it through media transfer mode . But whenever i reach that step , my phone disconnects and the pc suite can't find my phone. It seems that whenever I'm in Media Transfer Mode , the suite can't detect my phone and in the end i can't update 😧 Please revert and help me guys ! Anyone ! I want the update desperately 😧

i had the same problem ytd...mayb u can try to restart ur computer and and the phone oso....
after i restart my phone and labtop..i connected my phone to labtop and i followed all the steps and it worked....u try and c....c can solve ur problem or not....

turn your antivirus and/or firewall off

or

restart your PC on safemode (restart then press F8)

How to install it

You need to

go to settings -> applications -> check unknown sources

download IO File Manager

download the backup & restore app, transfer it to your SD card, use OI file manager to find it -> tap on it -> install it

Contacts

just to play it safe sync your contacts w/ google if you haven't already

open your phonebook

press MENU button -> tap on Send Contacts -> select all -> send it to your email

on your computer

-> download the file -> go to your gmail -> click on contacts -> click on more actions -> on the drop down menu click on "import" -> choose the file -> and click import

Apps

Don't worry so much about backing up your apps

on your computer go to

market.android.com -> log in -> click on My Library -> and send all your apps to your phone
