Updates after bootloader unlock?? - Sony

I'm running android 2.3.4(official), If I unlock my xperia mini bootloader, can I update/repair my phone software through Sony PC Companion or Sony Update service??

If you unlocked bootloader and if you will update via PC companion or SEUS you will brick your device... First Relock your bootloader then use PC companion or SEUS

or just use flashtool to repair/update your phone
