Update Vanished after downloading

Checking for system update on the phone showed an update build no. 23.1.A.0.690 which apparently is Android Lollipop was available via PC Companion only. So I conected via PC and followed the instructions. It took a while to download the Android L update and message prompted that the device will turn off. The device then turned off and the message on the PC Companion said that there was no updates available.

Now even my PC Companion says I'm running the latest version which is Kitkat. I tried checking for an update over phone.  It says I've got the latest version. What did I miss here? Anyone faced the same problem. Or is it that Sony withdrew the update?

Hey I faced the same situation. And unluckily till date the update dint come back, and it shows that ur device is running the latest software which is kitkat. Did you get the new update rolling? And from where r u? Which country

I think it was pulled from distribution as a new updated version of Lollipop is starting to be released with a few bug fixes and a close all recent apps button but don't quote me on that

In India everybody who owns z2 is facing the same issue. I tries to contract with sony and their reply was that there developers are working on this issue and will take 10 to 15 days to flash notification again.

Guys.. I'm from India.. And owns Xperia z2.. I faced this same problem... And I realized that With the pc companion, it won't update to lollipop..!! I recommend yo guys to contact local Xperia care.. I did the same.. Now updated...

Yes I'm on lollipop..
They said lollipop won't update with software pc companion.. They asked me to give my phone to them.. Within twenty mins, they updated my mobile..

@pradip1970 Please show me and others the official statement that says flashing a .ftf firmware will NOT void your warranty as I'm only aware that it may void your warranty and this is the official statement so unless you know more than me and Sony staff then please show me this otherwise I will either remove or edit your post
