Update Vanished after downloading

Checking for system update on the phone showed an update build no. 23.1.A.0.690 which apparently is Android Lollipop was available via PC Companion only. So I conected via PC and followed the instructions. It took a while to download the Android L update and message prompted that the device will turn off. The device then turned off and the message on the PC Companion said that there was no updates available.

Now even my PC Companion says I'm running the latest version which is Kitkat. I tried checking for an update over phone.  It says I've got the latest version. What did I miss here? Anyone faced the same problem. Or is it that Sony withdrew the update?

I also recvd the lollipop update notification on 8th April, but then it vanished. However today again i recvd the lollipop update and the same was successful. Gr8 Sony

Is the new update OTA or we need PCC to update?

So far there is no bugs found, even battery life is also seems good. but my phone says need an update to Google play service and i cant update the play service thru play store (showing that the app is updated)

• Ensure you have the latest version of Java on your computer 
• Try using a different USB port/cable if possible and/or temporarily disabling any anti-virus or firewall software
• As a last resort try a different computer - otherwise perhaps wait a few hours or a day and try again.
