To my thinking, Sony will provide JB for atleast some of the 2011 devices...as some are still new and are in the market. Sony must do this....and with new weather widget and lighter UI with folder in App drawer....

My arc 's stock apps were installed on may 3rd 2012.
Since the arc s was produced in 2012, i think we will get jb.
And if one 2011 xperia gets jb, others must get it too

Yes, i mean all 2011 xperia should get JB as all of the xperias are same in most of the aspects and all 2011 xperias got ICS so can handle lighter version of ICS(JB). But Sony has to make its UI lighter so that there is no lag.

Never trust SONY. Xperia Play was capable, but then it didn't get 4.0.

Even our Xperia 2011s are lagging on ICS.

.587 firmware is just a minor update WITH THE OL HOMESCREEN

So Jelly Bean??

Hi all, all mobile update the mobile with a new relase of s.o. , the world walk and sony sleep ?!?  So, I'd like to understand if sony mobile wanna take customers or all follow other companies....

now with the new set of xperias out ( t, v and j ) , sony is gonna be busy porting jelly bean for them , as well as the rest of the 2012 xperias.

They better give us all Jelly bean, after this mess, im really angry, and im telling everyone here, now, that i wont be buying sony again, if they dont give all us 2011 users a update to jelly bean, jelly bean will fix most of the problems, thats just because its jelly bean, and what is jelly bean anyway guys, Its an update to ICS, You never hear sony saying they wont update you on there windows laptops, its nuts, and i wont stand for it, hope you all agree,

Here is another good point:
- sony says ' a Jelly Bean upgrade is in the cards, but there is no time frAME'
The above statement was announced when the xperia j, t and v was revealed.
So xperia j will get jellybean. The xperia j packs a 1ghz single core and 512mb of ram.
The 2011 xperias also pack 1gz and 512mb ( excluding the arc s)
Now , sony cannot use the line ' 2011 xperias have low specs to run jelly bean '.  Since the mid-entry smart phone j could handle it, im pretty sure 2011 xperias would get it.
But only time will tell
