Update error?????????

I launched update software, but it has finished with error. Now my X10 is not functioning. What i can do?

Where/how did you do the update... was it over the air (OTA) on the phone / by PC Companion (PCC) / Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS).

The PCC and SEUS offer you a repair / reset option (if you haven't got one or either of them they are downloadable from this SE website)

I had best success with updating using the SEUS rather than OTA or PCC.

I encountered the same problem . I tried to update via OTA but an error occurs while installing the new update and the phone fails to boot again. I tried the repair option from SE PC Suite but it's useless, repair fails too. Any idea how to fix it back?

Download Sony Ericsson Update Service  http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/softwaredownloads/detailed/updateservice/xperiax10?cc=gb&lc=...

and try repairing it from there.  If it fails on one pc try another as this sometimes helps too.  Good luck!

Try uninstalling Pc Companion and re installing it, make sure you don't have your phone or USB cable connected during the installation. If this still fails contact Sony Ericsson Support at 866-766-9374
