I am curious as to when we will see the updates to the Sony apps.  Since the new versions of the Walkman and Album apps have been released to phones with 4.2.2.  Just got 4.2.2 on T-mobile and have not seen the updates for the apps come through.

You have 2 options

1) wait until you get them OTA 

or 

2) you can sideload them

Is there somewhere on the Sony Xperia website that these are readily available to download?  Or do I need to google it and hope I find a reputable host of the apk file?

I understand that these can be side loaded from outside sources.  This shouldn't need to be done though.  I have had my phone for 6 months now and the only update was the 4.2.2 update on an already year old version of android.  The first update that I read about for the Sony apps required 4.2.  Now that we have this update, I have yet to see a Sony app update pushed to my phone.  All these app updates that I keep reading about seem to be for the non US version.  Yes?  Ultimately not a big deal just kind of odd how Sony rolls here in the US.

I understand the downside of purchasing a locked phone and now understand better how Sony does things in the US.  I love the hardware, but hate the software support.
