Unlocking K800i

Hi - I have a K800i which was on contract with 3 but since changing to Orange I got a new phone which I don't like.  I prefer the K800i but its locked.  Is there a way to unlock it and use my Orange sim in it?  Thanks

Ask 3 to give you the unlocking code.They may charge you depending on their conditions.Otherwise, there are plenty of websites and mobile phone shops that will unlock your phone for a small fee.

Thanks Chris.  I did contact 3 but nobody has bothered to get back to me which doesn't surprise me - they only contact you when they want your business or your money.  I found an online website, paid my money, then they sent me codes which didn't work (at least they gave me my money back).  However, I'm not loathe to go with any other online as I might not get refunded next time.   I can't believe that Sony Ericsson can't unlock them - they did manufacture the phone in the first place.

The manufacturer didn't lock the phone.It's the networks that lock them to make sure you can't use another provider.I suggest you contact 3 again because they have the list of unlocking codes--It's best to contact them over the phone.
