Unlocking cell phone

In Chicago, I had cell phone - Sony Ericsson W580i , Network – AT&T,  IMEI – 01157200  567792  2  69.  For job requirement, I have moved to Bangalore, India recently for one year.

I need to us my cell phone for local vodafone service. I shall greatly appreciate if anyone could help  to unlock my phone?

Hello, what you need to do is contact your previous network provider and ask for an unlock code.

hi i wish to add my experinece i brought the sony ericsson mobile from uk locked with t-mobile .i have no idea
about how to solve the problem many guide me to use
