Change password

Hi, i have enabled face recognition for my xperia Z1 and unfortunately am unable to remove the password, i want it back to be unlocked with swipe

Why are you not able to remove it ? Can you give details ? When you set face unlock password, what did you use, the pin or the pattern ?

Now when you go to settings > security > screenlock > does not your phone asks you to enter your PIN / Pattern ?

this message appear below none swipe and pattern also these 3 options are unselectable
i have strong feelint that this is happening because i have encrypted the phone with password
i dont know anythng, now i just want swipe unlock, am ready to decrypt but i donno process, help me..thanks in advance

Ok now you gave that information.

That is unfortunately an irreversible process. You either need to factory data reset your phone OR software repair it.

Factory Data Reset >> Settings > bacup and reset > factory data reset > do it.

okay am ready to reset but i dont want to lose my data..can i take back up of my phone and all apps contacts to my laptop or somewhere on cloud storing app so that i can reset and post reset and get back to the same state am now in..

What data do you want to save ?

I'd say to backup only contacts and reset the phone. Then download all the apps again, start new and don''t use the data of old android version on 4.3. That would be good for your phone.

I'm not sure if you would be able to backup everything and use it on 4.3 since you encrypted everything.

Backup contacts > contacts > options > send contacts > mark all > send that vcf file to your PC via bluetooth and then reset your phone.
