Unlock code network

hi everyone!

I have a problem with a sony xperia T just returned from assistance, on start-up asks me the network pin code which I did not have because the phone was bought in a italian euronics store and not branded. The operator that I use is the vodafone Italy.
Searching on internet I found a site on how to find this code but unfortunately if you see a 0 (as in my case) tells me "If it is zero by unlock code is NOT available. The counter is blocked"
how can I? is back from an hour from assistance and vodafone don't know what to say: (
