Using xperia u with b.10 firmware and ics update
I know already around 100 mb ram is shared by system
But still My XPU free ram never come above 150 mb out of total 388 mb and most of the time it remains at 50 mb only
I am using these apps which i think myt b killing my ram- ZDbox, Fast reboot pro, mx player pro, nexgtv, settings extended, androxplorer pro, flashlight, moron test, fresh network vip, camscanner, exdialer, skype, uc browser, camera zoom fx, tubemate, pes 2012, any.do, compass, labyrinth, truecaller, livecriket, merriam webster, flash player 11.1, ymail, gps tracking, instatn heart rate
The widgets I use are just stock weather AND stock music player widget and no live wallpaper
I see other single core phones using live wallpaper but with my brilliant dual core phone I cant even use a simple live wall paper cause already my free RAm is too low for normal usage
Can anybody please help which app or widget is killing my RAM or is this another bug of ICS update????
I suggest that you use the forum search tool and look for the actual ram or ram explained thread.
Remaining amount of free RAM shouldn't be a problem really. It is pretty much equivalent to wasted RAM. Linux kills processes on it's own whenever it feels the need for more RAM. Are you on ICS or GB? If on GB, upgrading to ICS might help since it has a more efficient task manager. I can go down to even 12MB free RAM and then open a game and it will work lag-free because the inbuilt task manager frees up as much RAM is needed.
In your case though you seem to have too many apps which stay open in the background
like skype, truecaller, livecricket, etc. and sooooo many apps I haven't even heard of them.
Best solution for you is to uninstall all those apps you don't actually use.
