uninstall chrome

Hello,

phone and model and sw versions following

Sony Xperia S

LT26i

Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean

6.2.B.1.96

I've completely ran out of internal memory (total: 1.97gb free: 215mb)

I can't apply any app update from google play because it says that there is not enough space, although having a total of 32GB !!!

(currently more than 5GB free at external or SD storage)

I wanted to remove and uninstall google chrome app, that by the by, I never use but with all the accumulated updates now is wasting more than 250MB of this precious internal space!!!

I can't even move this app to the SD storage because as it seems it is a sort of factory built in app and I don't have enough permissions.

Almost same case with Facebook app.

Why the **bleep** having paid a big amount of money for a 32GB high end smartphone I must being suffering now for space problems!!!

I'm very upset with SONY, and I'm feeling cheated.
If this is not solved soon I'm pretty sure I'm not going to buy never more any SONY product and I will dissuade all my family and friends from buying them.

Why don't you clear data for chrome and facebook and disable them?

I shouldn't have to do it since I have more than 6 GB free of memory
Why I can't move those apps to the external mem?

It's OK for disable Chrome but not for Facebook which I usually use.

You won't be able to move them to SD,Google does not allow this.

Hi Jmrius,

Im using the same Sony model as you. Im having 1.19G internal storage.

For those built in app that you are not using, uninstall the updates.

I tried root my phone and able to uninstall the built in app, but im accidently deleted the Camera app.

After that im unable to direct click on the camera button to go to my camera app.

Finally, i reinstall update from SOny Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean(same as my previously used).

Steps:

1.) Download PC companion from http://www.sonymobile.com/my/tools/pc-companion/

2.) Follow instructions to re-update your phone. Make sure you back up your important data.

Now the internal memory will be reduced because it will delete all your existing apps.

Hope this will help.:smileyhappy:
