Hi,
My phone recently started giving me lots of 'Unfortunately ___ has stopped' all at once. It all started after I went to download the additional data for 'Heroes of Dragon Age'. The app downloaded fine from Google Play, but after I accidentally opened the app it started downloading additional data, so I just hit the home button and continued about my business. However, a few minutes after this while playing 'Sound Ride' it started giving me all these errors at once. "Unfortunately the process android.process.acore has stopped.", "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped.", Unfortunately IFTTT has stopped.", Unfortunately Google Play has stopped." etc. Any app on my phone that would run at all would give me this error telling me it's stopped. Basically, any and every process open has stopped and continues to try to open itself only to stop itself again. In this cycle I'm stuck tapping 'OK' for every one of these notifications that pop up and can hardly manage to do anything. The only things I've managed to do is clear data for certain apps that have been recommended on other forums. I've searched around this problem for 3 days, tried what I can(except for factory reset which I'd rather avoid, but hear sometimes doesn't work anyway), and my phone still keeps doing this. Almost every forum post I've seen doesn't quite refer to my exact problem so after a lot of searching I decided to make my own post. Every other post I've also seen usually refers to Galaxy phones, while I have a Sony Xpera Go. It's running Jellybean by the way.
If I try to restart what it does is have a couple of seconds starting up, and then it bombards me with all the errors again. I would go to Sony themselves but I imagine they'll likely say to factory reset and that's really what I want to avoid.
Thanks in advance.
Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
Sorry to hear that you're having issues with your phone.
I recommend that you first check so that the phones memory is not full under Settings -> Storage. If the memory is full you need to free up space by deleting files or uninstalling apps from Settings -> Apps.
