Unable to update Android

Hi,

I am facing the following problem.

For my son's XPERIA U I received a message via PC Companion that a new Android version is available.

However the procedure via PC companion does not work. I follow the instructions but nothing happens when I reconnect the phone via USB to my computer.

Does anybody know how to solve this issue? Reinstalling PC companion nor the Update service works properly.

My probl with Xperia U its says the software is already updated when he only have 2.3.7! -.-

u have to kep the volume decrease key pressed when inserting the usb cable to phone...i updated my xperia U 2 days back with absolutely no issues...Goodluck
