Turning off Emergency Alert in Z5C

How can I turn off the emergency alert in Z5C?

Sometimes it just alerts me with a test message which is very very annoying.

My phone is Android 6.0.1. I have read the post for Z1 but it does not work for me (obviously)

I don't think they're from my carrier. It says it's a test from the Commercial Mobile Alert System. And no, my phone isn't networked branded or sim locked. It's unlocked

hard to tell, it could be through your carrier or it could be through an app

Have you tried disabling the emergency alerts app completely?

If you disable it, a message won't go away that you have to turn the notifications back on in order for alerts to go through
