Turning off Emergency Alert in Z5C

How can I turn off the emergency alert in Z5C?

Sometimes it just alerts me with a test message which is very very annoying.

My phone is Android 6.0.1. I have read the post for Z1 but it does not work for me (obviously)

Which Emergency Alert? keep in mind that some of this alerts are network based, which means that you will have to contact your carrier regarding this.

The one that is also called "Amber alert" as I know.

The emergency alert app in the device doesn't even have a setting

Can someone please address this? Having the same issue.
There is an emergency alert app. It has no settings and no advice off the Internet (settings, messaging settings, none of it) pertains to fixing this issue.

I also have looked through EVERYTHING (messaging, settings, emergency alerts, etc.) on this phone and cannot turn them off.

The closet thing I've gotten to it is going to the Emergency Alerts app info and turning off the SMS app permission. After that though, you'll eventually get a notification about turning it back on and you can't swipe it away. Face_with_rolling_Eyes

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP

I have the same problem Xperia z5c. It is a stock Android option to turn off or select which alerts you would like to receive. Why is this not a function on my phone?

I keep getting test emergency Alerts and I want to know how to turn them off. When I go to the emergency Alerts app it just shows me a list of the alerts but no way to disable them. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Are the alerts from your carrier network?

is your phone network branded/SIM locked?
