Trouble recharging my Xperia

This stinks!  The pieces  in the charging mechanism apparently broke (a VERY, VERY common occurrence I'm told) so my phone doctor did what he could so now I'm left with a useless piece of <<%** that takes 45 hours to recharge and must be turned off.  And I'm told to be grateful it works at all!!  My phone doc, tells me at  least 50 % of what comes in each week (yep, it 's common) ends up on the garbage heap due to it not being recoverable.  Incidentally I have to keep the phone off while it recharges - therefore I can't take calls.  What a mess; I paid a lot for it too.  Any comments to help me stop being cranky?

I'm sorry to hear about your phone.
It's not a common issue that the Micro USB-part break on any of the Xperia models. If you connect the charger at the wrong way and/or that your not gentle when removing the charger, it can of course break.

It's also recommended to use a Sony original charger to avoid damages to this part.
