Tranfer SD

It seems I have a problem everytime I use the sony software, and try to backup my SD card it fails either the software crashes or it just fails. 

any advice

Are you trying to backup via Pc companion?

yes, i just want to put my files to a bigger SD card and if i do it via the copy paste method most files dont even get to the new card but experience a lot of problems and when i get it on my phone the phone doesnt pick it up. the new card is a 16 GB card the old one a 4 GB

Do you have an adapter?Just copy from the old card to your PC first,see how it goes.

I have copied it but when i cut that and re paste it to the 16 gig nlot even a bit of the 3.38 gb gets copied only 500 mb and if it does all copy over the phone doesnt even detect most of it,

What format is the card?If it is fat16,no chance of copying more than 2GB.
