text message problem sending

i have a new Xperia SP. i can receive text messages from 2 of my guys but I can not send messages.  I have updated my phone, change number and added area code, also checked my memory.  What else can I try.

try goto apps>all>messaging>clear cache and data force stop and reboot

BUT all of your messages will gone after that

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Sounds strange. Try to delete the contacts and the conversation. Then try to send a message to them without adding them as contacts.
