xperia sp softkeys don't work when phone is horizontal, put down on the table! I bought it yesterday and found out that phone softkeys don't work when the phone is on a table or other surface. When I am holding it in my hand the softkeys are working. What can I do? please help me

i dont think thats a problem...mine does it too...its just the device...there is better touch when the phone is in your hands rather than its on a surface and try to push any buttons..it works although when its on the table but the touch is less responsive..

I use screen protector, does the screen protector cause it?

No i dont think so...screen protector is too thin..so it doesnt affect the touch..

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

I suggest that you visit a service center to get  your phone examined and fixed. Please contact your local Xperia support team for more information:

Perhaps you can contact your retailer to see if they can assist you further.

Enable glove mode and restart your phone. Use it this way without gloves and don't hover your finger over the screen. It's not perfect but it helps.

It looks like a lot of SP handsets suffer from this, even the new ones. I mean if they could fix it, why ship them like that? And hearing touch issues of one piece metal frame Z series phones. I am kinde suspecting the gapless frame might be to blame.
