touchscreen problem

hello, my tipo touchscreen keeps stopping, and not responding. A few minutes later, everything that i've done will suddenly start to happen on the phone. I have locked it,  and I now can't get it off the touchscreen as it's just a frenzy when it does respond. please, does anyone have a solution?

I'm sorry to hear that. Have you tried repairing the software in the handset through PC Companion? This is done while the phone remains powered off at all times so you would not be required to use the touch screen. You can access this within PC Companion by going to Support Zone > Phone Software Updates > Repair My Phone.

I have tried several times to update the software through my computer and a laptop, but neither worked. I have just tried it again, and it told me my phone needed to be unlocked for it to work..

Well, my phone has now updated to the latest version. However, the problem is still occuring. It's as if it is unresponsive. Thankyou anyway, I wish i'd used it sooner! I have a feeling I'm going to need to get it repaired or something! Also! I tried something called "Emma" but it didn't work due to my phone being locked? This really is confusing!

Aw. I feared I'd have to do this. Thanks, you've been great help. I'm probably going on here, but is it possible to factory reset my phone without using the touchscreen? But yeah, thanks alot for helping me!

I have now arranged for it to be repaired at a sony service station. Thankyou for all your help, I hope I don't have to make a new thread about another problem in the future!
