Touchscreen frozen - Xperia mini ST15i

Hi,

I bought a Xperia mini ST15 i (Android 2.3.4, kernel 2.6.32.9-perf, build 4.0.2.A.0.62) 1 month ago, and since 2 days the touchscreen keeps freezing:

only physical keys seem to work, but the phione is unusable (e.g. I cannot answer a call).

Up to now I could solve the issue removing the battery, but this is very annoying.

What could be the cause? It seems software-related.

Have you tried repairing it through PCC??

The update procedure says that I currently have the latest software version.

Do you mean that I have to upgrade to Android 4.0 to solve the touchscreen issue?

In fact I did not find anything about the touchscreen in the release notes...

Upgrading to 4.0 is not something I intended to do (as it affects phone performance and cannot be reverted to 2.3.4), but of course I will do it if it really solves my problem!

no they say something different (i guess). it's repairing the existing firmware without updating. but i don't know how to do it either i mean there's no option in pc companion as "Repair"
