Touch screen problems

Hello everyone, yesterday I bought a brand new Xperia z2 tablet, and immediately I noticed that something was wrong with the screen. Sometimes it doesn't recognise the touches. I saw that another owners are experiencing the the same problem, so I would like to know from Sony if this is a hardware or software problem. If it is a hardware one, I will return the device and get my money back... Thanks and looking forward to receive your reply.

Check if it runs 23.4.A.0.546 (Lollipop 5.1.1), 23.1.a.1.28 (Lollipop 5.0.2) or 23.0.1.A.0.167 (Kitkat 4.4.4).

If it is on one of those firmwares and still have touch problems return device. It looks like a hardware problem.

If it is not - try if update is available (through PC Companion or Bridge For Mac). Update with "Reset to factory defaults" option enabled to have a clean start on recent firmware.

If touch is working normally - you have a good device. If not - return it to the store.

If update is not available - check how long you can keep device before returning it to the store. If update will not be available within this time I would suggest to return it before time runs out.

Hi, thanks for your reply. Yesterday and today, I am not experiencing this problem anymore... Weird. I will charge the device and check if the problem comes back again. Regarding the version, I have this one: 23.4.A.0.546. When I bought the device I update it right away via Wi-Fi. Thanks and I will report again in the upcoming days.

Hello, well, the device is fully charged and everything is fine concerning this problem. Don't know what happened to get to normal.
