Touch screen problem!?!

Sometimes my phone's screen (included soft keys) miss the touch. But that's not a dead point as it worked already at later touches.

Did anyone get this problem?? i wonder if it's a software or hardware issues? and may i fix it?

When i wipe my finger from right to left, the test services showed some broken strokes like the attached image.

I think it's a normal thing b'coz this is only a test of the touch screen , the same thing happens to my Xperia S

Thank you. But I don't think so. It really matters when using the phone.

Especially, when playing Fruit Ninja, it's easy to recognize the touching problem. You slashed fruits already, but missed them.

I think it a manufacturing error

Thank you for answers. i didn't buy it from a Sony official retailer, so i will give it to the store that sold it to me. Wondering if they get it fixed of not??!!!!!! Bad sony

I have the same problem too but I don't think giving my phone for repair in service center is worth.

This problem seems to be a common issue for Xperia ICS firmware...

I would not say that this is a common issue. Some users have reported this earlier but it's just a fraction of all phones out there. To rule out software issues you should always try to repair/reset/update software in the phone at first. If the problem still persists after this, you have to send it in to a service center for repair since it might be related to hardware.

i gave it yesterday(monday).they asked me to call them on wed to confirm how much time will it take for repair.and don't give it anywhere else but official sony authorised service center.no matter where you buy it from its still an original sony product.giving it anywhere else might void your warranty.

it is not a ics problem.as service center degraded my phone to GB but still the problem was there.look on the forum there is some guy i dnt remeber who had same prob and got it repaired after getting installed new touch panel and pcb.so yeah its worth giving it to the center.
