Dear Sony, I haven't found anyone with this issue, so I'm now considering to return the phone under warranty.
The problem is with the touch screen - when used normally, it works properly, but when there's ANYTHING plugged into the phone (charger, HDMI, headphones) the touch screen suddenly becomes laggy, unresponsive and freezes often. When it's frozen, it's simple to unfreezing by simply tapping somewhere else, but I have to say it's really annoying when I try to play the next song and instead it fast forwards it!
This problem has started to occur after I've updated to Ice Cream Sandwich.
My phone is a Meteor Ireland Sony Xperia S LT26i.
Is there any resolution to this issue? I've resetted it to factory settings, wiped it all out, but the problem is still there.
Best Regards,
sobanek
PS. There is also an another problem, but I've noticed others have it with ICS. The phone signal shows the H or 3G, but there is no internet connectivity until I restart the phone.
which build number do you have?

I have tried to repair it with both SUS and PCC.
Build is 6.1.A.0.452
There's a new update 6.1.A.2.45 but it has to be approved and release by your network or you can manually update your phone to it

Hi sobanek and Sony,
did you guys already solved this problem?
because I have the exactly same problem that I just found out these days.
here's my device:
Xperia S | Android 4.0.4 | Build 6.1.A.2.45
ALWAYS laggy and freezes when drag and droping apps on the home screen.
cannot play games that needs to hold the touch screen (like shooting, racing games, etc) because of the lag issue.
haven't tried the headphones like sobanek describe though.
but the laggy things on touch screen I bet it's the same issue with sobanek.
please fix this issue, Sony. because, I don't want to but I'm starting to hate this phone that I just recently bought.
Thank you very much.
PS: it's only occur when the battery at low level. when the indicator turns green, all back to normal even if it's still attached to the charger.
Hey diyotama,
The guys at Meteor Ireland that sold me the phone are sending it to Sony for repair today.
Thanks,
sobanek
PS. They've identified the problem as a battery problem (something with voltage) that's why when anything was plugged into the phone, the touch screen would lag - because it didn't have enough voltage for the touch screen, and therefore, it wouldn't recognise all my touches.
did they fix it? cause i have the same problem in my new S
I have the same problem of screen going blank. Its just one year old. I am disappointed by the quality of "SONY" . I have been purchasing SONY products always. This time I have decided not to purchase any products from SONY. SAMSUNG response id better.
I Hope Sony will change their attitude.
Hello,
I have the same problem.
Did you solved it?
