Touch issues

Hi,

Icurently own a Z2. Its a good phone considering I swtiched it from an S2. My problem is with touch screen. It registers tocuhes even if I did not touch the phone. It also requires a calibration to register my finger in the correct place. It always misies it by a half cm.

I turned on developer options, and enabled "Show Touches". Since then I can see what is wrong with it. For thw first problem you can look at attached picture. It happed the moment I unlocked the phone. Funny thing it shows six fingers touching while actually none of my fingers touch it.

For the second problem I need a calibration tool. I've used pocket pcs long time ago. Their welcome screen required you to calibrate screen to you fingers. I think a tool like that should be provided by sony.

Other than that, I love my phone, but I need these problems solved.

BTW: Glove mode is not enabled

Try the solution here. PS You need Root. Don't worry you don't need to unlock bootloader.

It allows you to change screen sensitivity.

Here's a link to Root (note: Only use PC Companion to update.)

He said it's not enabled, so it's set up problem from production site.

I also have some issues with the touchscreen, as it registers touches from my face during some calls (i can hear the ticking sound made by keypress). The screen is off during calls, and i can see the random touches that i pressed with my face after i end the call. The proximity sensor works fine, as the screen turns off when covered.

If you have them enabled....turn off TAP TO WAKE & POWER BUTTON ENDS CALLS....has worked for a few people in the past

Sounds like a faulty digitizer, I would seek a replacement or repair from your vendor or Sony.
