My Tipo pairs with my car (Mercedes B-Class, with factory fitted Audio 20 hifi, featuring bluetooth telephony) fine and you can make and receive calls but sound will not come out of the speakers. The caller can hear you but the sound still comes out of the phone, not the car speakers. It's not the car as it works absolutely perfectly with an iphone and an old nokia, just not the tipo. All other functions work including importing the phone book to the car but no speakers.
The car bluetooth supports Handsfree Profile 1.0 or above. I believe the Tipo includes Hands-Free Profile 1.5, so it should work.
When I look at the settings of the pairing (on the phone) it has one option, which is enable Audio through this connection. It looks like it is connecting with the A2DP profile, rather than Handsfree?
anybody got any ideas?
Thanks
Al
Unfortunately I don't have any great ideas how to solve this. Does the manufacturer of the bluetooth system list the Tipo (with the Android version you have) as compatible?
I have the exact same isssue. My tipo pairs fine with the Merc B-class but it doesn't pipe the call audio through the car's system. However, my Tipo works fine with a Jabra headset.
The Merc works perfectly with HTC Salsa, Nokia e71, Samsung S3, SamsungS2, etc.
Hmm... if I don't fix this in a couple of days, I'm returning the Tipo to Dick Smith for a Samsung. Easier to swap the Tipo than the Merc 🙂
