Timescape: Facebook update error

Ever since I purchased Xperia Miro, it could not connect to facebook for timescape. Whenever I try to do so, it says "Could not update from facebook". I have looked for a solution everywhere but could not find one. I checked play store for updates and found that there was one rolled out on 13 Feb 2013. However, there is no option for me to update and it didn't update automatically too. I need a solution for the problem. The ad on youtube says always stay connected socially but that's not happening. This is totally unaccptable. It's been 4 months since I bought the phone and there is no workaround. Please respond asap.

Have you checked the Update Center in the phone as well? For some markets the update is rolled out there instead of on Google Play.

Yes I have checked the Update Center but it says all applications are up to date. What should I do? Is any solution out there which actually works?
