The phone charges very slow

I just bought new z3 I'm trying to charge it with the original charger but it is very very slow is this normal

You should leave any new mobile phone when charging for the first time to charge overnight. After this, normally Z3 takes 3-4 hours to charge from 0 to 100% on original charger. If you use the phone or you have a lot of apps that gets push notifications like Facebook, Twitter, email clients, etc. charging will take longer.

If you use the Dock or magnetic cable it will take a lot longer than using a wall charger, if you are using a computer to charge your phone, it will take even longer. 

The fastest way to charge your phone 

phone off + wall charger 

then 

phone on + airplane mode (wifi off too) + wall charger 

then

Phone on + data off, wifi off, bluetooth off, gps off, nfc off, lower the screen brightness + wall charger

but isn't the handset now quickcharge 2.0 compatible? chargers are about £20.00 on amazon if true.....
