I've typed in all birthdays of my friends through Google contacts on my PC. After that the calendar app on my Sony got them right, but my contacts app moved every birthday one day behind. If I'm trying to edit a contact inside the editor the date is right, but if I'm just opening a contact the date is still one day behind. Though all other apps read them all clearly. It's not such a huge problem, but it's annoying. Thanks for your help and I hope I explained it clearly.
Hi @efisha,
Just a thought, where do you live - and what language setting have you set in your phone? Depending on which language the phone is set to, I know that the week number changes according to the Gregorian calender - it may not be related but worth looking into.
Aside from that, do you have automatic or manual date & time set? You can check that under Settings > Date & time. If it's set to automatic, could you try manual - and vice versa?
Let me know how it went!
I see, yes then I would recommend trying changing the phone language settings to your local language and then see if that helps.
Can you create a new Google contact direct within your phone and set a date, then go to your Google contacts/calendar on your PC and see if the date is correct or 1 day early?
To create a contact, go to the Contacts app > + sign in the bottom right > Choose Google as the backup account > fill out the contact information and then choose Add another field > Event > Enter the date - once you've done that simply make sure that it's a birthday event and then press SAVE in the top right.
Now check in your computer to see if the date is correct.
On my PC it appeared to be the same date I put in my phone, but the problem is in the phone I have to put the year. When I corrected add the year to the day on my PC the date in my phone Contacts became right. We may say the problem is solved, but it is still a mystery why without a year it goes back for 1 day.
I see, I'm afraid that I do not know the reasoning for that. It could be related to actual Google settings, since both the calendar and contact pages on Google let you choose time and date as well as time zones.
In any case, I am glad to hear that it has now been resolved - feel free to let me know should you need further assistance!
