Hi everyone,
I'm starting to have a quite serious problem with my recently bought Xperia Ray : as soon as the battery level reaches around 15%, it suddenly drops to 0% and after a few seconds, the phone shuts down and it is impossible to restart it (unless I recharge the battery of course).
My phone is already updated with the latest software, and I also tried a battery calibration, but it didn't seem to have any effect on this problem.
What is worrying me is that it seems to happen at higher and higher percentage, at first it happened around 11-12%, then 15%, and now around 17-18%...
Any ideas ?
Thanks in advance !
Try using the SE update service to re-run or repair the software and see if that improves the situation.
Thanks for your answer.
I forgot : does the repair function make me loss any kind of data ?
Yes, you will need to back up your phone as usual.
Ok, thanks.
Do you have any "non-destructive" ideas to try before that ?
You could try to charge the phone while turned off for about 5 hours, start it and check if the same problem appears.
Otherwise you could try another battery.
try this..
1. Open PC Companion
2. Start 'Support Zone'
3. Select Software Updates
4. Click on Repair
i have not tried this yet but a moderator only told me that this will not remove any data
so you can try this..
