Streaming Bluetooth audio

I was streaming audio to my Jambox and have noticed pops in the audio. I checked the files by moving to a wired connection and they're fine. The Jambox is perfect with other devices too. I also noticed some pops when paired and no audio playing when receiving notifications.

Is this a settings or software issue. Please help as I have bluetooth speakers and headsets and need to stream audio.

Does this happen if you move the phone closer to the speaker? Bluetooth audio streaming (A2DP) doesn't support any buffer so if you get a packet loss you will get an audio drop.

If moving closer doesn't help, what happens if you turn off WiFi?

Still happens up close and with wifi off. Did notice pops when music wasn't playing and notifications arrived at the phone.

When using A2DP you will also get notifications over bluetooth.

Have you tried updating the speaker? It looks like there are software updates for it: https://jawbone.com/support/jambox

I have updated the Jambox and am still noticing pops on the bluetooth audio. Also the odd click from the phone when it is connected and the audio is off. Also, went to.listen with phones for the first time since having the handset and have now noticed that the left audio channel is not functioning on the jack. Getting frustrated as it seems I will have to exchange the device.

Before contacting your dealer or local support for assistance with the phone, try making a repair of the phones software just to make sure it's not a software problem. You can do that using PC Companion: http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/pc-companion/

If a repair in PC Companion doesn't help your phone needs to be repaired or replaced.

I have the same issue, but eventually this happens because of messages received by Whatsapp app. I am using BT audio in my car, hear properly almost all notification that are set on. Before i was using SE Arc, and sound from whatsapp was comming like it should, in Z1 i have this little pop sounds and the it continues to playback. Other apps like viber, sms, gmail are giving proper understandable sound (related to each app).

BTW while received updates and notifications on facebook i receive vibration instead of sound, is it possible to walk around this problem.

I'm not sure but from what i've heard notifications from Whatsapp are not played as notifications but instead media audio which causes this.

For Facebook you have a setting for that in the app. Open Facebook, tap menu at top left and select "App settings".
