strange charging problem

Hi

My x8 will only charge when the cable is plugged into an Iphone USB adapter.

I thought the mains adapter block had died.  So I bought a new one. It didnt work.

So I bought a thrid party adapter.  Still didnt work.

So I bought a brasnd new sony charger cable and mains block.Still nothing.

I plug the cable into an Iphone block and it charges fine.

any thoughts as to why?  Or do I now need to buy an iphone?

http://ww.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/update-service/ Strange problem indeed! It may be a software related issue, so I suggest running a software update/repair and see if that solves the problem.

Also, if you have the option to switch USB charging off, try it and see if that enables mains charging.
