storage issue

Im trying to mount sd card in my Xperia c but it was showing sd card damaged. And its a new card.

Are you able to erase the SD-card via Settings > Storage > Erase SD-card? Otherwise, I suggest that you format the SD-card from your PC to see if this can help.
