Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet audio jack problem

last week i listen music with earphones and when i try to pull out the jack, a piece of jack remain in tablet in audiojack. I go to tablet in service (Sony Xperia Romania service) and they told me that audio jack is bonded on motherboard and it need to replace motherboard and cost me 205 Euro. I'm not ok with this answer, audio jack is not bonded on mother board. I call at sony xperia romania and they told me that the service  decision is the right decision. My question is: why do i need to replace mother board for an audio jack. I call another service in romania (not a sony service) and they told me that will replace audio jack and the price is 24 euro.i'm feeling so frustrated about this. But this is how thinks works in Romania!

have you told the sony service center about what the other service center told you?

is your phone under warranty?

with that price I would have tried everything to remove the loose part myself.

i am not expert in technical repair but, i have seen enough disassembly of devices that the headphone jack is not bonded to the mother board itself but has its own assembly just as shown here: https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Sony+Xperia+Z3+Compact+Teardown/35454

I told that to sony romania but they told me that the answer is the official answer from Sony...and the tablet have lose the warranty. My tables is in warranty until november 2016 but if i refuse to repair at that service is lose his warrany.

i don't think is different because i call another service and they told me that 100% is not bonded on mother board, so...

well that's usually how warranties work. but the point is they were wrong to say that they need to replace the entire motherboard and charge that outrageous amount of money, when it is possible just to change the audio jack only.

how much of the broken thing is inside the audio jack? can't you shake it loose? does it show a little bit outside? maybe you can use small twizzers to pluck it out.

i suggest you call them again or go to the service center ask for proof the that the audio jack is indeed soldered witht the motherboard and it is impossible to change the audio jack only.

The audio jack is not broken, is intact, the only problem is that a eraphone jack piece is stuck insite and i can't extract it. I bet that if someone cand extract it, the audio jack will works just fine.

i call them and in romania, the only official service fost Sony Xperia product is Germanos (Germanos is a big retailer store, and they have service too) There is no Sony service in Romania, i mean, Sony Service not other company. and i will go to service... But until then i wait another days to take the tablet from service. That is  the procedure...

i have to say that the tablet works and looks like its new...i have temperd glass and original case...i'm so upsaid with this situation...

After many emails, they call me frm Germanos Service and told me that my tablet will be repair with no cost. So, i recive the tablet and works fine.
